Day 1: Transfer In from El Salvador Airport to Suchitoto 1 hrs 40 min//
Welcome to the airport. At your arrival, one of our representatives will assist you and transfer you to Suhcitoto Town towards your hotel, approximately 50 miles. Overnight at Suchitoto.
Día 2: Kayaking Tour Suchitlán Lake , Walking Tour Suchitoto. 8 hrs B//
Early in the morning at 5:30 a.m. be ready for your kayaking tour at the Suchitlán Lake, this is the biggest artificial surface water in the country, enjoy this activity watching the sunrise and identifying different bird species from the area, visiting during the trip “ El Hermitaño” Island and knowing about this curious story. Later enjoy a free time, and when you are ready take a walking tour through the town, Suchitoto means “Place of Flower Birds”, in Nahuatl,and offers the essence of the old colonial architecture. Visit its beautiful cobbled streets, art galleries, the Ruins’ Theater, the House of Crafts and the Santa Lucia Church, built in 1853, one of the main attractions of the city for its architecture and its historical significance, you will be able to take a walking tour through the city. If you want, also take a local Indigo Workshop, where local people will teach you how to do this fascinating process. Overnight at Suchitoto.
Día 3: Transfer to Puerto Barillas, Kayaking Tour Jiquilisco Bay. 8 hrs B//
After breakfast you leave Suchitoto, towards the east shore of the country. Kayaking at Jiquilisco Bay, during this tour you will visit one of the most important mangroves in El Salvador, get to know its accompanying flora and fauna, learn about local species and support a real, fair and responsible local tourism initiative. You will get inside the most important forest in El Salvador and also one of the most important in Central America; Bahia Jiquilisco, at more than 150,000 acres, this is Central America’s largest estuary with a wide diversity of birds, sea turtles, fish, and other animals. Free Afternoon. Overnight at Puerto Barillas.
Day 4: Transfer to Intipucá, Kayaking Tour El Esterón – Transfer to La Unión. 8 hrs B//
In the morning transfer to La Unión State, towards Intipucá village, a small town in the east of the country, with a lot of natural beauty sourrounding, El Esterón mangrove is a natural refuge for many species, that in a lucky day you will be able to watch, the mangroves are air purifiers and tidal barriers. Take this tour in a 2.5 km journey. After the Kayaking, transfer towards your hotel in La Unión City.
Day 5: Kayaking Tour El Encantado– Departure Transfer. 8 hrs B//
Enjoy kayaking tour inside the mangroves in the region El Encantado, Conchagua, you will be able to do exercise and on the same time admire the natural beauty of flora and fauna in the region . Get closer of community lifestyle Las Tunas and El Icacal whose habitants work with shellfish extraction inside the mangrove. After the tour, if time is enough enjoy of a relaxing time at Las Tunas beach. This tour is recommended for adventurer people. Later, transfer to the airport where you will take your flight to return back to home.
